Phooey on FaceBook

I have just about had it with FaceBook. Oh sure , the FaceBook thing is supposed to be the IN THING, but I’ll stick to good old and proven Google, and Gmail. After all , FaceBook does not offer a free blogging program , like Blogger a product of Google. FaceBook does not yet offer a proven email service like Gmail, nor is the security and dependability of FaceBook equal in any way close to Gmail, or Google. I’d much rather spend ad money, with Google than I would FaceBook, and while security is a concern with both Google(Gmail) as well as FaceBook, I had fewer invasions of security with Google and Gmail.

Of course there is also the issue, never confirmed with me an account , tied to my alter email account, but FaceBook, let someone register that account to MY account. Wuzz up with that? Then came the person in Arkansas who may have thought she was ready for a real relationship. Nothing bad with the gal, but timetable and Logistics prevents that from going forward. Then last, anyone who would dishonor a treasured talent , such as Denver Pyle who played Jessie Duke, on OUR show the Dukes of Hazzard. True, I use and still do use Crazy Cooter and all, but in my case its not dishonoring, the name as I am in all respects the true vision of what Crazy C was on screen, and the fact that Ben and Alma are good treasured friends. Those of us with deep, long term , and beloved ties to that TV show and its idea and concept, know each other. I was lucky to elevate from a mere fan, to a consultant for that show. More over the heart of the Knytes-of-Anarchy is rooted in things Hazzard County and Dukes. With nearly 28 million members round the world, the Knytes have a long reach. Anyone who would even disrespect Uncle Jessie, plus asking me to be a FaceBook friend, needs to be burned at the totem pole.

While the Knytes, AyreWolvez etc , may request me to post things on FaceBook for the value of that membership , fine. As for me personally, I have no real use for FaceBook. I’ll stay with my Gmail, Blogger, and Google.

Askew but not out

Amid all the turbulence over this issue and all the task returns.

The fact that the AyreWolvez Military Aviation Association an organization of some 5000 strong, enthusiasts of vintage military aircraft mostly vertical or rotorcraft (Helicopter) flight, and its history. Does a lot of covert projects that few realize, understand or comprehend. Of those the selection , casting and deploying female model talent for , club promotions, TV and information videos, right down to modern day on aircraft nose art is a daunting task. Many sit and think from their keyboards that the effort is to exploit women. Others say , its a course to get a quick lay or date. NOT SO , any more than it was in past and current military combat campaigns. Even today , nose art on modern day aircraft is quite active.

With all that in mind let me present the following

With all that in mind, understand , that we contact and post ad’s all over the nation to find the talent. Reason being , that too many in our very conservative religious Victorian minded area, there are not too many women of any age, that can walk in off the street into district command offices of the AyreWolvez, or even the main HQ office here in Buhl, that can at the drop of a hat , put on , say a form fitting flight suit, short skirt, etc, travel out to the area airports where our treasured byrds are stored and pose for a full 12 or so hour day, so that an artist using an ayre brush can transfer that image to the body of a vintage warbird or helicopter.

More over, I have yet, and I have worked with both professional models, semi-pro models, and even walk in street talent, that can walk into the radio studios of AyreWolf Radio, that can sit down, in a studio chair , and go on the air, without much if any training. Casting 360 , invited me to join them on FaceBook, yet I wonder and would be ecstatic if they had talent , that even lived here, more over , would be willing to fly, drive etc to the area of Idaho, or western Utah that we are in, and could just get to it, without at least 4 days prep. Even the talent that we hired in Tooele Utah years ago, took a month or better casting, and training, more over even the one , I hold as a bench mark talent that responded to an ad for such in a local farm news publication , took two and half weeks to train. But at least SHE worked at it. Who by the way does promo work , for a major aircraft engine manufacturer, at a million bucks a pop.

But I challenge all would be talent , female model talent to prove me wrong. Look at the banner ad above, and if you think you have what it takes, contact us.

Extreem weather continued

The weather conditions in the Magic Valley, including Twin Falls, Jerome, Gooding, Buhl, Hazzard and immediate areas will be exteemly cold this evening until mid day December 3rd , to mid day December 5th . NOAA has said that flying is not recommended due to icing problems on wings, and structure areas. Also many local rural airports can’t plow the landing strips , runways and taxiways. On surface transportation: I-84/86 from Burley east and south is problematic, In fact I-84 south to the Utah line is closed as well as from the 84/86 split east to Coldwater and American Falls, is closed due to blowing and drifting snow. NOAA has lifted the blizzard alert, however expect conditions to be slick, icy and difficult. Local authorities are urging no travel to emergency travel only. Truckers are urged to find a safe haven and park. Parleys Summit east of Salt Lake City to the Wyoming line is passable, but only with chains. My advice , don’t. Most reports to AyreWolf Control is conditions are extreemly slick, and icy. The Three Sisters Pass east of Evanston Wyoming on I-80 are closed both directions, both from Evanston as well as from Fort Bridger to Green River Wyoming. Best scenario stay home, keep warm and travel only local. Hell , I’m even staying in, not taking tow calls, one cuzz DixieBelle is out with an injector pump, slaughtered , and cases of frostbite of hands. Wear only very insulated clothing. Stay warm, grab a warm brandy, and watch good movies. Remember tonight’s episode of SOA is the next to last before the season finale. These weather conditions, look to last until December 5th at the earliest.

Its going to be exteemly cold over night

Unless your a Eskimo with really deep fur threads, its going to be extreemly cold and slick. ITD has closed all traffic south to Utah at the I-84//86 split. In fact I-86 to Coldwater through Raft River is cold due to blowing and drifting snow. The Winter Blizzard Warning has been cancelled by NOAA but reports are some breef periods of snow fall will continue through Thursday morning. Overnight look for temps in the 40 to 50 below zero range, and will remain until Friday. A very cold weather pattern will continue through to the 4th of December. Most flying can be achieved except at some smaller rural airports, that can’t be plowed. Most weather conditions improve over 6000 feet , VFR conditions prevail. IFR conditions in our area are able except for deep valley areas.

My advice, roll up in your snuggies some warm brandy, and a good movie. Thank goodness old DixieBelle, is out with a bad injection pump, or I’d be out freezing , snagging and dragging. There are blessings even in malfunctions. Remember the next to last episode before the season finale of SOA is tonight, at 11:00 (23:00 Hours) on FX channel 54.

You’d think, but it ain’t

You’d think that a computer tech publication like Eweek, would have proofread and worked out the bugs to a article BEFORE they send it to your email inbox, wouldn’t ya’ll? But nope , there was the title, but no story. Seems that’s what ya’ll see anymore ain’t it? Just like ya’ll would think that if TV stations and even cable TV networks are going to be on all night long, overnight, that they’d put on something besides crap or infomercials, but it ain’t. Ya’ll would think that both local as well as cable and broadcast TV networks, would put on some decent or at least worth watching TV shows, like we had years ago, but they ain’t. Fact is, and its still byting their ass, since that big Hollywood writers strike a few years ago, that forced the reality TV craze that those networks are still catching up, even exceeding previous offerings, but they ain’t.

Ya’ll would think , that with TV station budgets slimmer than Sheriff Roscoe, especially now that there are no more election ads running, that those TV stations wouldn’t be so smug, but they is.

Porn or Death

 

An old bit from legendary comic George Carlin, he said, “ Okay Sheriff , I’m going to ---- you now, but I’m going to ---- you slow” . The run was bent on the notion that people would rather see other people making whoopee, than killing each other. I am one of those that would rather see a good smoozing scene than seeing some guy with metal claws , hacking someone up all bloody, and body parts being thrown around. Sure the creepy, spooky film industry borders between purely sick, to near porn with serious tragic results, like a zombie rising out of a virgin cheerleader. But there are those that feel that horror movies are better than porn. While, I never really got into serious porn, since seeing something that I could not directly participate in was and is not my choice, the bible beaters are out there, trying once again to snuff out porn. How can you stop a carnal desire? While I would be the first to ban queer porn, I am not the judge, but let ME choose, not some government agency. Over the years our organization has been hammered for recruiting female model talent for everything from aircraft art, to promotions to recruit membership. There are even a half dozen TV stations in both Idaho and Utah, that thought , that me kissing a gals nyloned toes to play on the words, TOW and TOE, was said to be porn or at least on the edge of it. Yet one can watch, ads on late night TV getting YOU to call 1-900 numbers or at least texting on your cell phone to chat with, gals. The reality is; none of those gals are the ones your really talking too. Most of that talent are really nothing more than wanna be exotic dancers. Now then too: Would you rather see ads for porn, or someone pushing narcotics? Soft porn is everywhere, from gals on scyfy films in really tight, form fitting space suits, hell even BatGirl and Daisy Duke was said to be soft porn. Charlie’s Angels both new and the original cast were said to be exploiting women to a degree. But I as a genuine USDA prime American Male with a good flowing supply of Testosterone would rather see some great looking gal, than watching, seeing guys dismembering people. I’d rather have a wet dream over Cyndi Margolis than having a nightmare over getting slashed. But having said that, anytime we as a republic society start marching down the road of censorship of any kind, will soon see freedom, go bye-bye. Now, having said this; I do draw the line on kiddy porn, I would just as soon put a 12 gauge in the mouth of violating a young tweens virtue. I feel there should be some limits, but as far as grown up hot body on TV or in a movie is better than seeing blood and guts from some slasher film. What do you think?

Long lone Wolf

Having trouble getting to sleep. Thing is I’m dealing with a ton of things that are required for being a leader of this exclusive military aviation enthusiasts group as well as a small company that grew out of it.

The ability to keep us in the air as well as fresh and inviting for membership recruitment is a real challenge. Considering there are at least a half dozen or more similar style groups out there, plus the ill gotten always wrong and not deserved bad reputation that resulted from some folks north of me here, slinging crap at me and the mother club all the time.

Another thing and this is a good thing , for all of you, but troubling to me, is the fact that as of late, I’m taking a hard look at myself. Of where I’m at, both on the flyte of life, career, and just me. This began mid week last week, when as much as I love going towing, I was just too worn out, I was sick 4 days out of the last six, and so I got to thinking, an no I was not drinking, in fact I gave up drinking entirely, but I got to scratching my brain to let it drain , and thought, is this all that I am? Is there nothing more? When I first saw those Corsairs in Jerome in 2001, followed by sitting in my ryde there on the flyte line at Bountiful SkyPark and all , I thought , do I really want to keep going towing , or should I just restore to preserve a material memory in LexiBelle, and put that on the shelf, for myself, and focus on being in the air?

So with all that , I’m looking at doing just that, and while not completely quiting going towing, I am working to be more aviation than towing.

Now then; how do we as a club, gain some altitude? First understand and this must be thrust out first. I am and will always be at heart a Knyte. That will not die, until I do. But the AyreWolvez and what we are has gotten into my soul even deeper. So thinking, and I related some on this on our webs.com blog, since there are no shows on TV, about those of us who rebuild and restore, and fly restored vintage military warbirds, both fixed winged as well as rotor craft,(Helicopters). Get a hot babe to front the show, and take projects, one by one into the hangar, and visually document the total rebuild, of the craft. Show or detail the history of that aircraft, its missions etc. Then pitch the show to various networks, like SpeedTV, Discovery, History Channel etc. Of course over time, lets look at forming our own TV network of strictly aviation. Followed up by our radio station and eventual streaming radio net and show/website, and see, quite literally how that flys.

Any course, my body is sore, so I’m off to snore.
